![]() ![]() I even tried replacing the xml file with a saved, back-up copy, of the original xml, that I was using previously, & was working just fine only minutes before, I tried using the slightly edited, newer xml version. I can no longer find that exact post I found before, regarding the exact, proper number sequence thats sposed to match up to the corresponding controll settings, in-game. AND I also spent, another good hour or more, searching for some more info on this online, but there is literaly, only a small hand-full of scatterd-about posts on this exact topic. just cant remember exatly what the sequence was. ![]() said something about it being important to make sure that the assigned numbers in the controll settings, alligned with the actual numbers provisioned in the xml file itself. I do recall a while ago, that when I first created the xml & set everything up, that someone, somewhere. I Even checked that the numbers were assigned, via the control options interface.īUT, no matter what I try, it simply, just will not work now. I then saved the file, restarted steam & the RwR game. I was very careful, to edit only, the actual chat text in the line code. as far as I know, I ONLY messed with the xml file, itself. I felt like updating & tweaking a few of those messages. ![]() Meaning that: YES, The xml file was structured correctly AND located in the correct directory -Ĭ:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\Running with riflesĪnd whilst in-game, all numbers on the keypad, 0-9, 1-0, however you wish, would each properly display the assigned chat messages. I have had it working, just fine, as of yesterday. Seeking Help, With - " hotkeys.xml " File, For the 0 - 9 Numbers-Keypad - Custom Chat TextHi, if anyone out there knows about this, & knows how to help, it would be MOST appreciated. I didn't put this in modding or support, because nothing seems to be acting wrong, and I don't feel I'm really modding the game by just using the built in hotkey system. I was looking for a usage example, but maybe I was looking for the wrong thing. Looking in the config files to see how it saves my keybinds didn't help. With and without quotes on the z+g, and neither worked. Would it want the input to be "z+g" or would it want the input to be "mod+grenade"? I also don't know how it wants the input either. I'm pretty sure it's because my tag starts out "text=", but I don't know what tags rwr accepts. since my mod key is bound to z, instead of the windows key, I tried adding a hotkey definition that was like this:īut that didn't work. I was wondering if there was a way to use the ingame hotkeys to do the same thing. It's taken the xm25 from useless to amazing. I have one of those mice for mmo's, and set a quick macro that lets me command detonate all of my claymores/c4/xm25-rounds with a single button push. '%mousecoordinates': Gives out current mouselocation as coordinates.(Although coordinates are only given when using radio so far, so this might not help most people to begin with) '%coordinates': Gives out current Players location as coordinates.'%mouselocation': Gives out current mouselocation as name.'%location': Gives out current Players location as name (e.g.'%objective': Gives out current Target set by Commander. So I'd like to know if there's a command/tag to use to make it overhead only or where it's displayed to begin with.įor the general chat, having/knowing commands for locations would be helpful. It's not like you need a preset message in the general chat since you can only go with general messages (e.g.: "Closing in on objective","Follow me.".). I don't even know if these go into the regular chat or are just displayed overhead. So after binding some Hotkeys and assigning them to actual text(hotkeys.xml), I've been wondering about display options. ![]()
